Judges:

Pat Wagner - Pat has been doing taxidermy for 35 years.  “As a teenager who enjoyed hunting and fishing, he began to notice a lack of "good taxidermy"”. “So with just a few books, he began to teach himself and has now become one of the countries leading self-taught taxidermists”.  Although Pat has not competed much in recent years he has enjoyed competing both at the state and national level. It goes without saying that Pat has proven himself as one of the finest Whitetail taxidermists in North America.  In addition to his many State awards, Pat has also received several national and world awards. These include: NTA Best All-Around Taxidermist.  NTA Distinguished Taxidermist Award.  NTA National Champion Whitetail Award.  World Whitetail, the NTA North American Champion Whitetail, and the Bruchac Award.

Clark Schreibeis - Clark began his taxidermy career in 1981.  By 1996 he began his transition into his full time career of art/ sculpture.  Clark is now a professional wildlife carver/sculptor.  Clark is a native of Billings, MT.  Clark and his wife Erika live outside of Billings, Montana and are blessed with three sons and a daughter. He owns and operates the Clark Schreibeis Wildlife Art Studio and currently divides his time between sculpting in wood and bronze, judging competitions, teaching carving classes in his studio and around the country and, of course, seeking out wild places whenever he can.  www.clarkschreibeis.com His awards and recognition are many and include: Best in World @ World Fish Carving Championships, Best of Show & Judge`s Choice @ World Fish Carving Championships.  Taxidermy awards include: Award of Excellence NTA competition, Best of show awards at State and “Battle of the Mounts Competitions, NTA Championship Judge at the World Taxidermy Championships.

Dean Schulte - Dean Schulte is the owner and lead taxidermist of High Uintahs Taxidermy Studio.  High Uintahs Taxidermy Studio is a family-based operation.  Dean is experienced in handling trophies taken from all areas of the world.  Each trophy is treated as an individual work of art and craftsmanship, not a mass produced item. Proper design, engineering and composition are the primary goal at High Uintahs Taxidermy. Dean enjoys working with a diverse assortment of African, Asian, European and North American species of game in all divisions, from shoulder mount to multiple life-sized pieces.  Dean’s work has received many awards including: World Taxidermy Competition award winner, as well as National Taxidermist Association sanctioned competitions at state, regional and national levels.  Breakthrough Magazine featured Award Winner.  He is a National Taxidermist Association "Award of Excellence" recipient.  National Taxidermist Assn. Certified Judge.

Dale Manning - Dale has been involved with taxidermy since 1975. Born and raised in Missoula, Montana, he grew up hunting, fishing and camping. His high school job was working at a local taxidermy shop where his primary interest began with birds. The quality of his work from the beginning allowed him to do bird mounts for other taxidermists across Montana which was his main source of income as he pursued his college degree. Dale graduated in 1985 from the University of Montana with a B.S. in Finance and a minor in Economics.  Dale lives in Missoula with his wife Jennifer and son Owen.  Dale is known for producing the highest quality taxidermy that emphasizes the profession as an art. Dale is well respected in the taxidermy community for his accomplishments and is regularly asked to judge competitions and give seminars to share his knowledge.  He has received honors and awards at national and world level.  Carl E. Akeley Award at the 2007 World Taxidermy Championships.  National and State awards.  Breakthrough Magazine featured Award Winner.
